Who can apply to take an exam at a different location?

If you have exceptional reasons for being in a different location on the day of the exam, you can apply to take it at a different location. You can also apply to take the exam near your home if you are a registered distance student.

Before applying:

• As a student, you must book your exam place yourself. Note that you should book your place before filling out this form.
• Do NOT register for the exam in Ladok if you want to take the exam at a different location!
• Apply well in advance! Minimum 2 weeks before your examination is recommended.
• Incomplete or late applications will be denied! You are welcome to ask questions in the “Additional Information” field.

Which places are approved for taking the exam?

The exam can take place at a university or learning center that offers higher education. Outside of Sweden, embassies and consulates are approved as exam locations. Former LNU exchange students may do re-examinations at their home university.

Can I take the exam at a different day/time?

You must take the exam within the same time frame as the regular exam:

• You must be present before 50 minutes have passed from the regular start time.
• You can leave no earlier than 50 minutes after the regular start time.
• You can start earlier, but no more than 3 hours before the regular start time.

Conducting the exam:

Exams at a different location are not anonymous. You must write your name and personal identification number when handing in your exam.

You are responsible for verifying that the exam place does not charge a fee or for paying any fees associated with taking the exam yourself.

Linnaeus University’s exam rules equally apply to exams taken at a different location.
